Roll Of Thunder hear my cry is a superb book with great detail and facts about when slaves where just freed and racial things that where still happening. In this book Cassie, T.J., Stacey,Little Man, and Christopher-John where growing up in fear of night riders and discrimination from whites and thier father getting hurt out on the railroad tracks.

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry is a wonderful book. Stacey, Cassie, Christopher John, and Little Man encounter many problems, including several burnings of houses, the dreaded night men, and their mother losing her job. However, Mr Morrison arrives to protect the family, and they have not been harmed so far. This book is one of the best I have read.
